T.D. Stubblefield

Dr. T. D. Stubblefield served as the Senior Pastor-Teacher of the First Baptist Church of Chesterfield, Missouri from February 2000 through March 2020 where he retired as Pastor Emeritus, the first in the church’s storied history. Prior to joining First Baptist Church of Chesterfield, Dr. Stubblefield served as Pastor-Teacher of the First Baptist Church of Georgetown, Kentucky for 17 years.

An avid student of the Word and dynamic preacher-teacher, Dr. Stubblefield is frequently sought after as a conference speaker and revivalist in the United States and abroad, including special missions to Israel and the Republic of South Africa. From October 2007 through March 2020, thousands heard his voice throughout the St. Louis metropolitan region each Sunday via FBCC’s Forward in Faith weekly radio broadcast on Bott Christian Radio Network. His newest program, Meaningful Moments with Dr. T. D. Stubblefield, launched on the Network in July 2020 and airs daily on both A.M. and F.M. stations. In October 2020, the Advancing Word Podcast began with inspirational messages by Dr. T. D. Stubblefield that reflect a pastor’s love for the people of God and a preacher’s passion for the Word of God.

A gifted writer, Dr. Stubblefield is the author of Sacred Seed & Living Bread, a collection of articles relating the principles of God’s Word to everyday life; and Just Cutting It Straight 1 and Just Cutting It Straight 2, collections of textual and expositional outlines drawn from Old and New Testament passages. Riding the Wave – Leading the Local Church from Message to Mission, is an in-depth primer of proven principles, paradigms, perspectives and priorities that aim to empower leaders to lead more effectively. His most recent book, Meaningful Moments – A 31 Day Journey is a series of contemporary parables that encourages readers to reflect on spiritual and biblical truths at those points where faith intersects life and ministry.

Dr. Stubblefield has a passion for leadership development and encouraging the work of the local church. His impact is far-reaching and spans across a variety of local and national organizations. From August 2001 to August 2023, he served as Chaplain for the Chesterfield, Missouri Police Department, and was a member of the International Conference of Police Chaplains. He is currently a member of the Board of Trustees of Missouri Baptist University, St. Louis, Missouri. In 2011, he founded T. D. Stubblefield Ministries that seeks to pursue purposeful and productive partnerships with leaders, churches, and organizations that will advance the Kingdom of God on Earth, opening minds, and touching hearts, through the communication and application of biblical principles.

Dr. Stubblefield received his Bachelor of Science in Finance from the University of Louisville, Louisville, Kentucky, and a Master of Divinity in Christian Education from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville. He earned a Doctor of Ministry from Trinity Evangelical Theological Seminary in Deerfield, Illinois, and was awarded an Honorary Doctor of Divinity from Georgetown College in Georgetown, Kentucky. He is a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.

Dr. Stubblefield is married to his devoted wife and life partner, Judy. They are the proud parents of four children and ten grandchildren. In his leisure time, Dr. Stubblefield enjoys reading, writing, aerobics, and listening to classical music.
